I received an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. Once again the characters have pulled me back into the story. I couldn’t put this book down. I stayed up until 2:00 am just so I could finish the book even though I had to be up at 6:00 am.
Jenny is counting down the days until she and Rich get married. She’s been planning her fairytale wedding and in just one month it will be here. Not everything is peaches and cream though. Rich has changed! Their sex life which use to be excellent is now rushed. He doesn’t allow her to touch him intimately anymore. He starts taking longer jogs after work and even goes out jogging later in the evening sometimes.
One evening after work Jenny goes out with some of her coworkers. While there she officially get to meet Warren. Warren owns some businesses and he waited on her prior to this. Jenny found him attractive and couldn’t help but notice him. One thing ends up leading to another and she goes home with him and stays the night. Wow is all I can say to everything they did that night…HOT.
She knows that she must tell Rich and plans on it. Before she even gets to do that she finds out that he lied to her about going out of town with one of his friends. When she heads over to confront him about lying to her she gets the shock of a lifetime. I had a feeling that what she discovered was gonna happen due to some things mentioned earlier in the story. Jenny calls off the wedding and has to decide what happens next?
I don’t like to give spoilers and I hate to read them so I don’t want to give anything away. My recommendation would be to just go out and purchase the book I promise you will like it and not be able to put it down. My only problem with the book is that it left me with some unanswered questions. Questions I wouldn’t have expected if it wasn’t for events that happened during the story. Thank you L. Chapman for another refreshing read. I look forward to reading more of your work.

I actually enjoyed this story. I received an ARC in exchange for my honest review. This story is a bit unlike anything I’ve read before, but it managed to pull me in and I got lost in the story. Why four stars instead of 5? At times I did get a bit confused with the story and the way it would just jump to the next thing.
Megan is pregnant. She and her ex have been together for five years but that ended when she found out he was being dishonest with her. While in London helping her best friend Jenny find a wedding dress they go out one night. That’s when Megan meets Mark.
Mark is just the greatest. Can’t help but love this man (swoon). When he sees Megan at the bar with her friend he has to go over and talk to her. He isn’t put off by the fact that she’s pregnant. He gives her his number and while putting it in her phone he manages to get her number without her knowing it. He texts her to make sure that she and “bump” made it back to the hotel ok. They spend the rest of the night texting back and forth.
Megan likes Mark and thinks he’s looking for a weekend thing. She has some major trust issues after her last relationship and the secrets he had. Will Mark be able to help her through them so that they can possibly have a happy ever after.
I don’t want to give out any spoilers so you should just READ the book. L. Chapman managed to write a refreshing book that I couldn’t put down. I look forward to reading the next book in the series. I’m hoping that book two will still give me some Megan and Mark even though it’s Jenny’s story.
About the author
L. Chapman was born in and continues to live in North Yorkshire, United Kingdom. She has spent most of her life helping at one time, a DJ for a special needs club. Blending her love of helping others and her love of children, L dreams to one day own and operate a childcare nursery that will help mainstream special needs children with others.
In the rare times that L. is not working to help others or maniacally writing, she enjoys making a mess of things while creating beautifully detailed greeting cards. She spends time relaxing with family, friends, and good books. L. loves to travel and has been to many places in the United Kingdom; her favorite places all involve the ocean. She hopes to one day share a kiss with her happily-ever-after in the romantic shadow of the Eiffel Tower. Should she ever get over her fear of flying, those kisses may be shared in the shadows of the Egyptian Pyramids.
Ever the fussy eater, L. has never once tasted peanut butter, and she despises coffee. If you should feel the need to bribe her, it is suggested that you bring chocolate, as that is one of her know weaknesses.
